Carport Installation on California’s Central Coast
We build custom attached and post-and-beam carports for homes, churches, and businesses on California's Central Coast. It's not a prefab metal kit. Each one is framed on site to fit the building and the space. Licensed contractor, License #1157969.

What we build
- Attached carports
- Framed off your house or building and tied into the existing structure.
- Covered parking
- Shade and rain cover over a driveway, pad, or parking area.
- Commercial and church carports
- Larger spans for churches, offices, and businesses.
- Residential carports
- Sized to your cars and your lot, built to match the house.

Custom vs. Prefab
When custom makes sense
Kits can work for a freestanding carport, and plenty of people are happy with them.
If it has to attach to an existing building or match a roofline, a custom post-and-beam frame usually fits better. We size the posts and beam for the span and tie the roof in so it looks like it belongs there.
Where we work
Where we work
We work along the Central Coast, including Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County.
Process
How a carport job goes
- 01Site visit. We come out, look at the building and the ground, and talk through how you want the space to work.
- 02Design and framing approach. We work out post spacing, beam size, and how the roof ties in.
- 03Permits as required. If the job needs plans or a permit, we line that up before work starts.
- 04Build. Posts, beam, roof framing, and roofing, with one point of contact the whole way through.
FAQ
Common carport questions
- Should I go with a custom carport or a prefab kit?
- It depends on the site. A kit can work fine for a freestanding carport. If it has to attach to an existing building or match a roofline, a custom post-and-beam frame usually fits better and holds up longer.
- Do I need a permit for a carport?
- Often, yes, especially for attached or commercial carports. It varies by city and county, so we check what your project needs and handle the permit side when it's required.
- Can a carport attach to an existing building?
- Yes. We tie the roof framing into the existing structure so the carport is solid and looks like part of the building.
- Do you build carports for churches, businesses, and homes?
- Yes. We build residential carports and take on commercial and church work too, across the Central Coast.
